We were known then as Surfers Paradise Locksmiths and when Michael expanded the business in 1998, the initials of that name helped create our new name, SPL Security. No longer identified for just Surfers Paradise and to bring about the next level of customer service and reliability, SPL took on employees and Michael took on a partner.
Big Expansion
In 2001, Michael and partners expanded further to become even more reliable and service more residents, businesses and motorists.
Now a leading name in Gold Coast locksmiths, the company has many different divisions including a security division, an electronics division, and an architectural hardware division, to name a few.
In 2004, SPL House in Ashmore Road, Bundall, came into being. This purpose-built premises was designed and constructed to serve Michael’s vision, the company’s commitment to its customers, and to guarantee the highest quality service and products.
Guiding Light
Michael continues to run the company with the same commitment and drive he had in 1990. As SPL’s Managing Director, he takes charge of all the company’s commercial operations.
The commercial division at SPL Security now has nearly 90 highly experienced, fully qualified members of staff.
Michael’s philosophy has never wavered. He insists “the customer’s perception is their reality” and this belief dictates the willingness to go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction from SPL’s products and services.
